Furthering education and innovation
Our mission is to ensure every child has access to usable technology at school. Giving Gadgets is committed to closing the technology gap and promoting a more egalitarian educational system while helping our planet by reducing e-waste.
Giving Gadgets will have collected over 3000 laptops for donation by the end of 2023.
Our Plan
Giving Gadgets requests for donations of laptops that are in workable condition. We will organize for these laptops to be shipped to schools in the United States and around the world that are in need.
All laptops will be donated to schools. 100% of monetary donations will go toward shipping, marketing, and other operating expenses. We will not be taking a salary or wages of any sort.
The Gap
A study by Pew Research Center in 2020 showed that 36% of low income students in the United States were unable to complete schoolwork at home because they didn’t have access to sufficient technology. Lack of educational technology is not only a problem for low GDP nations, we face the effects of it at home too.
